Country Music Singers Association Will Host “Singing for Miracles”

Benefitting Children’s Hospital Foundation

 

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. (Aug. 1, 2013) - The Country Music Singers Association (CMSA) will be hosting a series of fundraising events for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) in Oklahoma. The public is invited to join in their "Singing for Miracles" events. Proceeds from the events will benefit the Children’s Hospital Foundation through the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

 

EVENTS:

 

CMSA’s fundraiser competition “Voice for a Cure"will be kicking off Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013 with auditions from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at David Stanley Chevrolet on 1-35 and Lindsay in Norman.  The David Stanley Stage is on the northwest side of the building.  There are three categories: Youth ages 3-12; Teens ages 13-19; and Adults ages 20 and up.

 

Aug. 13, 2013, 5-9 p.m., the Sooner Bowling Center at 550 24 Avenue N.W., Norman, will host an evening audition.

 

Aug. 15, 2013, Louie’s on the Lake will host the final auditions from 5-9 p.m. Auditions are free and open to the public.

Those that audition and will be advancing to the elimination round will be notified by mail.

Second round (the elimination round) will be held Sept. 14, time and locations to be announced. 

 

Those moving on to the finals (round three) will be notified by mail and will compete on stage at the Rodeo Opry in the Stockyards in Oklahoma on Nov. 1, 2013.  First place winners will receive $250 and second place $50 plus other gifts from various merchants.  In addition, the highest scoring winner of all the categories will receive the Grand Prize of an additional $250.  

 

GOSPEL EVENT:  August 16th 2013 7 pm at the Country Western Museum and Hall of Fame talented CMSA Heartland Opry Singers will be praising the Lord “Singing for Miracles” Carol Jean Ross and Ginger Boles will be hosting the event with the Journey with the King Ministries.  This is free to the public however a love offering will be taken to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network.

GOSPEL EVENT: September 13, 2021 6 pm  at the Riverside Church in Moore, OK Anita Walker will host a “Singing for Miracle Event”  A tremendous line up of great Gospel Music Singers and Groups.  This is free to the public but the proceeds from the love offering will go to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network

 

FINALE GOSPEL EVENT:    will be held Oct. 11, 2013 at the Grand Boulevard Baptist Church.   THIS IS THE CULMINATION OF THE THREE GOSPEL “SINGING FOR MIRACLES EVENTS” The church is located at 3701 S. Magnolia in Oklahoma City.  This is when all funds that have been raised with the Gospel Praise Events will be reported and celebrated.  This is also free to the public and the love offerings will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network. 

 

 

Sept. 21, 2013 CMSA Heartland Opry will be hosting “Singing for Miracles" with five teams of award winning entertainers singing at five locations in the metro: Cracker Barrel on 1-40 and Meridian, Langston's in the Stockyards, Shawnee Mall, Homeland on SW 104th and Crossroads Mall . Microphones will turn on at 11:30 a.m. and off at 3 p.m.  Entertainers will be accepting donations at all locations and selling raffle tickets.  Donations can be made by visiting www.cmsaok.com. October 26, 2021 a picnic and fun day is planned with the Miracle Kids and their families at Hafer Park in Edmond, Okla. Time to be announced.  The event will feature Magic Jon, face painting and inflatables. Kattie Ballew and her band will perform and there will be Karaoke “Open Mic.” Food will be provided at this free event.

 

The Grand Finale will be Nov. 2, 7 p.m. at the Country Western Museum and Hall of Fame.  Performances by the 2012 People's Choice Entertainer of the Year Youth and Adult, and winners of the Voice for the Cure Youth, Teen and Adult will be performing. An auction will feature items such as certificates for dining and car maintenance, purses, pictures, home decorations, cowboy belts and buckles, cowboy hats, and a guitar signed by “Country Music Legends” Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, Faith Hill, Toby Keith, Willie Nelson, Shania Twain, Garth Brooks, Vince Gill, Kenny Rogers, Clint Black, Alan Jackson, George Strait and Wynonna Judd.

 

Tickets will be sold for a raffle to be held Nov. 2, 2013. For $1 ticket holders will be eligible to win any of the following items: 1 round trip ticket to anywhere Southwest Airlines flies, 16” X 20” autographed picture of Tom Cruise, Limo Service to a fine dining establishment in Oklahoma City, or a bicycle.
