| ~ Emily Sanders ~ |
| This little singing' Okie was born on November 8th, 2002 and already hsa an amazing bio. Chad and Shelley Sanders of Kingfisher hvae been blessed with four wonderful children. Michael is 24, Amanda is 20, Katie is 14, and of course Emily will be 8 this year. Emily loves school! She will be in the 2nd grade this year at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Okarche. She has taken dance lessons since she was 3. She loves tap and ballet, adn looks forward to learning some jazz steps this year. She is also a memer of the Kingfisher Cheerleading team! As for sports, she plays soccer, softball, and wants to play basketball, too! She atarted piano lessons last year, and is now taking guitar lessons. That is not all..... She also wants to learn to play the harmonica, fiddle, and mandolin. Realizing that Emily has been blessed with a God given talent, the Sanders took the advice of others and set Emily up with a voice coach. Amanda Earhart is her voice coach, and has helped her grow by leaps and bounds over the past year. Emily was just 5 years old the first time she sang on a stage. It was for American Kids Competition. She's come a long way since then. She holds local and national titles in American Kids Cometitions in the "pop", "serious", "gospel" and "country" divisions. She is also a member of the Rodeo Opry in Oklahoma City, The Country Music Singers Association of Oklahoma, and is a regular at the Clinton Country Jamboree. She has also performed at the Roxy Theater in Muskogee, OK, the Poncan Opry, The Wiley Opryand the Johnnie Highs Country Music Review in dallas, TX. As of this month, she can also add the McSwain Theater in Ada, OK to that list! This past March, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Emily was awarded "Vocalist of the Year" and "Entertainer of the Year" in her age group in the Bluegrass division. She's a real star at a young age, and worth seeing in a show, so watch for her at various opry shows around Oklahoma and especially at the Heartland Opry shows, sponsered by the CMSA of OKlahoma! |
