Larry grew up in a small town in east Texas called Mount Pleasant. He was one of six children in the house. The small school he attended was taught by a sister of the famous "Don Henley". Larry and Don were actually childhood friends.
Larry's vocal history begins early in life, and included singing in the acapella choir in high school. These days besides singing in shows for the CMSA you can also find Larry singing in various Oklahoma City churches. You can also find him singing in a newly formed group called "Forever Young", which has two other members. They are Chip Jones and Dot Liles. Larry has won several awards in the CMSA competitions, in categories of New Country, New Gospel, and Specialty Act.
Larry is a succesful businessman, and retired about 5 years ago from a company he started in 1984. It is called "Whittle-Neher". He is also involved in the oil business, and owns several wells.
One of Larry's long time business associates is sponsering the October 18th show in Del City, so check out our show schedule page, and make plans to attend!
